About James Hempseed & Son.

With significant experience in pawnbroking, James Hempseed moved from working in a pawnshop to opening his own business on 4^th August 1900 at Garscube Toll. Three generations later the business still remains one of Glasgow’s oldest family run pawnbrokers. Now operating from premises in Great Western Road the business grows from strength to strength managed by the founder's great granddaughter.

As well as providing customers with a pawnbroking service, which guarantees quick access to cash, at Hempseed's, we also sell a variety of new and second hand Jewellery and household goods from toasters to kettles to watches.
